The braille display that meets your future requirements too
Whether you are in education or already working professionally — your computer is your most important tool. Every day you use applications that you want to operate quickly and easily. And you are constantly faced with new tasks that need to be integrated into your workflow. It is precisely for these kinds of study and workplace conditions that we developed our highly functional braille display VarioPro2, driven by screen readers. The display can be flexibly adapted to the working style of its users, allowing it to be tailored at any time to growing demands — without the need for major new purchases.
Innovative and reliable
The VarioPro2 is equipped with innovative roll bars on the front of the device, operated with the thumbs. For the first time, blind users can read without interruption, as their reading fingers remain on the braille display. The VarioPro2 has four roll bars that can be assigned identical or different functions, simplifying overall operation and enabling faster orientation on screen. The high-quality finish of the flat, elegant display — made from solid anodised aluminium — is extremely stable and durable. Our many years of experience in developing and manufacturing professional braille displays, combined with the use of the latest technology, guarantees high reliability and long service life. 80-cell braille displays are today the standard for workplace and educational settings.

Device driver for VisioBraille VarioPro2 and older BAUM braille displays with FTDI chip
This driver replaces all previous BAUM braille display drivers and removes them during installation. After running the installer, either the "Install" or "Uninstall" button will be highlighted depending on the current driver status, and Windows status messages will appear in the installer window. Please note that during installation a window may appear in the background in which you need to trust the signed driver — press Alt+Tab and check which windows are open. After installation, you may need to restart your screen reader or your computer depending on which screen reader you use. If the driver installation fails, check whether Windows has previously installed BRLTTY drivers automatically, which may be overriding the device driver. If you are not using Windows Narrator, you can remove BRLTTY using the following command in a Windows Command Prompt with administrator rights: dism /Online /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Accessibility.Braille~~~~0.0.1.0. The driver installation should then succeed. If not, open Device Manager, enable "Show hidden devices" under "View", and delete all devices listed under the LibUSB group.
JAWS driver for braille displays
This driver installs the components required for JAWS and automatically detects connected VisioBraille and BAUM braille displays. If you experience problems and the device driver is correctly installed, please check that the "BAUM Universal USB" component is enabled in JAWS settings (JAWS key+J → Options → Braille → Add Braille Display) — the driver usually does this automatically.
NVDA driver for VisioBraille VarioPro2 and BAUM VarioPro
This driver adds the VarioPro family of displays as an add-on to NVDA. NVDA must be running when you execute this add-on — simply run it from Explorer and follow the steps in NVDA. After restarting NVDA, you must manually select the VarioPro under Options → Settings → Braille; automatic detection is unfortunately not possible with this add-on.
